This is a portrait of the singer Rumer for Mojo magazine. Her new album is called Seasons Of My Soul and she's very Carpenteresque, Richard Carpenter must be reaching for the phone. Painted in watercolour without any digital intervention.
I was commissioned by old friend Ian Harrison, we used to do a 3 panel strip together for Esquire called Chancers back in the mid 90's.
It reminded me of an experiment from a while back, similar groove but more graphically executed.
